About DAIMA
Data Analytics and Interoperability for Digital Product Management (DAIMA) is a research unit at the SEL group in the Computer Science Departament at the University Carlos III of Madrid. We work at applying cutting-edge research based on Semantic Technologies, Data Analytics and Blockchain to enable interoperability in real-world scenarios with potential impact in solving industry problems from an applied research standpoint.
In our research unit we believe that Integration and Interoperability of Smart Systems related to key domains, such as Energy Management and Optimization, Industry 4.0 or Internet of Things (IOT), can be applied to bridge the gap between the fundamental work yielded by international and scientific research projects and the application-oriented challenges of industry market-driven problems.
It is our mission to look for the excellence in research in these areas yielding accurate and sound solutions. This is achieved but is not limited to using the aforementioned technologies for the following research lines:
- Integration of Business Information Systems through Semantic Technologies
- Digital Product Management based on Smart Systems
- Data Analytics based on Formal Methods and Knowledge Graphs
- Smart Systems based on Artificial Intelligence Techniques
- Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLTs) which can enact Web3 interoperability
Digital Product Interoperability is moving towards becoming a global repository of Smart Systems where we envisage applying our expertise in building software components to make service integration and added-value a reality taking our major requirements from business scenarios based research projects that are the main cornerstones of our current research efforts.
